Assign Selected Vertices To Bone

Assigning 1 Vertex Weight - Assigns the selected vertices to the
selected bone

Assigning 4 Vertex Weights - Displays a dialog box that will allow you
to assign a bone and weight to the selected vertices.

NOTE - The number of vertex weights you wish to work with can be set in
the 'Preferences' dialog

Assign To Smoothing Group - Displays a dialog to assign selected faces
to a smoothing group.

Background Images - Displays a dialog that allows you to set background
images that can be used for tracing.

Compile Half-Life .MDL - Displays a dialog box that allows you to select
a half-life .qc file and a command line .mdl compiler and create a half-life
model.

Copy - Copies the currently selected object and places it on the
clipboard.

Customize User Interface - Displays a dialog to edit the user interface.

Cut - Deletes the currently selected object and places it on the
clipboard.

Decompile Half-Life .MDL - Displays a dialog box that allows you to
select a half-life .mdl file and break it down into its component files.

Delete - Deletes the currently selected object. (Does not delete the
mesh selection)

Delete Mesh Selection - Deletes the selected faces and vertices from the
character mesh.
-
Duplicate Animation - Creates a copy of the currently selected animation
and all of its keyframes.

Duplicate Mesh Selection - Creates a copy of the selected faces and
vertices and adds them to the mesh. The newly created faces are also assigned
to a new smoothing group.

Edit Vertex - Displays a dialog to edit the x,y,z values of a single vertex.

Exit - Exits the program.

Export - Saves the character to a file without changing the current file
path used by 'Save'.

Export Schema - Saves schema objects to an xml file.
-
Find Object - Searches the active character hierarchy for objects whose
names match the given parameters.
-
Flat Shaded - Sets the current viewport to draw the character with flat
shaded faces.
-
Flatten X - Calculates the average x value of selected vertices and assigns that
value to the x-coord of those vertices.
-
Flatten Y - Calculates the average y value of selected vertices and assigns that
value to the y-coord of those vertices.
-
Flatten Z - Calculates the average z value of selected vertices and assigns that
value to the z-coord of those vertices.

Hide Selection - Hides the selected faces and vertices in the character
mesh.
-
Import - Loads a character from a file without setting the current file
path used by 'Save'. Use this when you don't want to risk overwriting the
source model file.

Import Schema - Loads schema objects from an xml file.
-
Invert Selection - Selects all faces and vertices that are not selected
in the character mesh and deselects the rest.
-
Keyframe Editor - Displays the keyframe editor dialog.
-
Map UV Coords - Displays a dialog box to edit the UV coordinates of
selected faces.
-
Merge - Allows you to selectively merge portions of any model file into
the current workspace. Use this function when loading files that contain only
parts of a character such as an animation (e.g. Half-Life .SMD). When merging
skeletons, beware that if the merged skeleton does not have the same basic
structure as the current skeleton, the skeleton and all existing animations
will be removed.

Mirror X-Axis - Mirrors the selected bone's local transform across the
plane defined by the parent bone position and its own x-axis.

Mirror Y-Axis - Mirrors the selected bone's local transform across the
plane defined by the parent bone position and its own y-axis.

Mirror Z-Axis - Mirrors the selected bone's local transform across the
plane defined by the parent bone position and its own z-axis.

New - Unloads the current character and clears the current file path.
-
Open - Loads a character from a file and sets the current file path.
-
Paste - Creates a copy of the object on the clipboard and inserts it as
a child of the currently selected object.

Preferences - Displays a dialog box that allows you to customize the
appearance and behavior of fragMOTION.

Redo - Redoes the last undone action.
-
Remove All Bone Assignments - Removes bone assignments from all
vertices.
-
Remove All Orphans - Removes all vertices that are not referenced by a
face.
-
Remove Bone Assignments - Removes bone assignments from the selected
vertices.
-
Remove Duplicates - Removes all duplicated faces from the mesh.
-
Remove Visible Orphans - Removes any vertices that are not hidden and
are not referenced by a face.
-
Rename - Begins renaming the currently selected object in whichever
treeview has the focus.
-
Reset View - Moves the camera to the default position with the origin
centered in the view.
-
Reverse Keyframe Order - Reverses a range of keyframes.
-
Reverse Vertex Order - Reverses the ordering of the vertices for
selected faces.
-
Save - Saves the character to the current file path.
-
Save All - Initiates a save on the character and all textures that have
been changed.
-
Save As - Initiates a save on the character and prompts you to select a
destination file.
-
Save Textures - Initiates a save on all textures that have been changed.
-
Scale Keyframe Times - Scales a range of keyframes without altering the
appearance of the animation. This is useful if you need to insert a keyframe
between two frames. (e.g. between frame 2 and frame 3)

Select All - Selects all faces and vertices in the character mesh.
-
Select None - Deselects all faces and vertices.
-
Select Unassigned Vertices - Selects all vertices that have not been
assigned to a bone.
-
Select Vertices Assigned To Bone - Selects all vertices that are
assigned to the selected bone.

Show Axis - Toggles whether or not the axis is drawn.
-
Show Bone Assignments - Toggles whether or not lines are drawn from
vertices to the bone's to which they are assigned.
-
Show Grid - Toggles whether or not the grid is drawn.
-
Show Skeleton - Toggles whether or not the skeleton is drawn.
-
Show Vertices - Toggles whether or not the vertices are drawn.
-
Show Wireframe Overlay - Toggles whether or not a wireframe is displayed
on top of the character mesh

Smooth Shaded - Sets the current viewport to draw the character with
smooth shaded faces.
-
Snap Together - Calculates the average x,y,z values of the selected
vertices and sets them all to that position.
-
Split Edge - Takes 2 selected vertices that form the edge of a face and
divides it in the center.
-
Subdivide 3 - Splits each selected face into 3 faces. A vertex is added
in the center of the face.
-
Subdivide 4 - Splits the 3 edges of each selected face. A vertex is
added for each split edge.

Textured - Sets the current viewport to draw the character with textures
applies.
-
Turn Edge - Given 2 faces that share an edge, this will rotate the
shared edge.

Unassign Material - Removes the material assignment from all selected
faces.
-
Undo - Undoes the last action.
-
Unhide All - Shows all hidden faces or vertices.
-
Unwrap UV Coords - Displays a dialog box to create a material and
texture with the outlines of selected faces.

Update Vertex Normals - Recalculates all vertex normals.
-
Weld Vertices - Removes any selected vertices that have the same x,y,z
values as another vertex.

Wireframe - Sets the current viewport to draw the character as a
wireframe.
